For this project, I was asked to, "Concept and build a 15 second animation to post on Instagram for International Self-Care Day."
This video is intentded for an audience that is already aware of Jovie. Example copy was provided, but I was able to rewrite it, because it would not all fit into a 15-second video. Below is the storyboard I created for the animation.
I was pleased with the direction I chose for the animationed. I remained, of course, within Jovie's brand guidelines, but I loved the process of putting the pieces of a concept together into a final product. After approval, I created the animation. I shared it with my team, and received the feedback that the animation should be more lively. I considered a few options, and ultimately decided to add some motion to the friends screen, and add some falling leaves to the outdoor scene.
If I were to redo this project, I might have chosen to use only three self-care topics rather than four, to make sure there was ample time for each of them to be shown. I am still quite happy with the final product however, and still believe it is effective.
